Ahead of Fifth Annual Hawaii on the Hill, Hirono Visits Participating Small Businesses on Maui

KAHULUI – Senator Mazie K. Hirono visited four Maui small businesses who participate in Hawaii on the Hill, Senator Hirono and the Chamber of Commerce Hawaii’s annual state showcase in Washington, D.C.

Senator Hirono visited Uncle Louie Sausage Inc., Maui Fruit Jewels, Maui Crisps, and Maui Brewing Company.

“Our small business participants are the backbone of Hawaii on the Hill, and serve as ambassadors of the Aloha Spirit in Washington, D.C.,” Senator Hirono said. “As we look forward to the fifth annual Hawaii on the Hill this June, I’m grateful for their participation and support.”

“The Chamber of Commerce Hawaii is proud to partner with Senator Hirono and her team on our milestone fifth anniversary of Hawaii on the Hill,” Chamber of Commerce Hawaii President & CEO Sherry Menor-McNamara said. “We’re so grateful that our partners on The Valley Isle, including the Maui Chamber and its members, as well as Maui County, have supported this initiative every year and, along with our partners statewide, have done a fabulous job of showcasing our state’s pride, cuisine, culture and customs, industries and ideas on Capitol Hill.”

Hawaii on the Hill, a partnership between Senator Hirono and the Chamber of Commerce Hawaii, is a two-day event in our nation’s capital that gives Hawaii businesses the opportunity to meet directly with news and policy makers while also showcasing Hawaii businesses and products to Members of Congress and the Washington, D.C. community.
