Senator Hirono Named “Champion of Maritime”

U.S. maritime industry advocate American Maritime Partnership (AMP) this week presented Senator Hirono with its 2016 Champion of Maritime Award.  Citing the Senator’s long-standing support and commitment to the men and women of the American maritime industry, AMP described Senator Hirono as a leader who “understands the critical role the domestic maritime industry plays not just in Hawaii, but also in the nation's economic, national and homeland security.”
