WASHINGTON, D.C. - Senator Hirono described President Obama’s executive order on immigration enforcement as a big step that gives hope to advocates who are fighting for reasonable, humane, comprehensive immigration reform. The Senator took to the airwaves to share her views with All In with Chris Hayes on MSNBC and KITV4 News. Senator Hirono also discussed the ongoing need to move forward on passing legislation that will present a more permanent solution. The only immigrant serving in the U.S. Senate, Hirono described her own immigration story and how work on immigration reform through her Senate Committee on the Judiciary is purposeful.
