Senator Hirono & Deputy Secretary Harden See Hurricane Iselle Recovery Efforts, Impact of Invasive Species & Receive Up Close Briefing of Pahoa Lava Flow

On the first day of U.S. Department of Agriculture Secretary (USDA) Deputy Secretary Krysta Harden’s visit to Hawaii, Senator Hirono and the Deputy Secretary traveled to East Hawaii, where they saw firsthand the impact of Hurricane Iselle recovery efforts and the impact of invasive species on Hawaii agriculture.
